Heat 99 Indiana...76

After hours and hours upon anticipation and research about these two teams, it is safe to say that the best team won. The home team won. And although wasn't the case in round 2 of the playoffs, the team with the best player won the series. "Big Time South Beach Talent" came in the clutch when they needed him most, and King James and the Jesters put together 48 minutes of great basketball.

Nothing can be said to make a solid case for the Pacers and Frank Vogel's gang of young guns. Lance, Paul, Roy, George, and David will take a well deserved break from the game of basketball while LeBron (I believe his scientific name is LeBronus James-Gigantus) will face Pop's boys of divorced husbands and Argentinian folk.

Back to the game recap. Paul George put up 7 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists, while shooting an abismal 2-9 and 1-4 from downtown. LeBron went 8-17 from the field and 15-16 from the free throw line, while also picking up 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and a block. The Pacers turned the ball over 21 times. 21 times!!!!! Those turnovers resulted in 15 (but hey, they still lost by 23). Hibbert was in foul trouble almost the entire game, and put up 18 points and 8 rebounds. He needed this one to be 20 and 10, not 18 and 8, and while David West and Lance Stephenson chucked ill advised jumpers, they didn't realize the damage they caused until Ray Allen and Norris Cole were sinking shots around the arc on the other end.

It's a cliche, but the team that's most prepared to win in a game 7 will win in a game 7. The team that plays their style of basketball for 48 minutes and truly competes every play, will win a game 7. The Miami Heat did that tonight. Their leaders stepped up, and the entire roster stepped up with them. They hit every shot that was asked of them (except Mike Miller and Chris Bosh, who were nowhere to be found...actually Bosh needs to apologize again for shooting 3-13), and they played two way basketball. LeBron was a beast offensively and defensively, shutting down Paul George, and like Dwayne Wade said tonight, "You never want to take anything for granted."

The Miami Heat really put on a show tonight, and we tip our caps to them. Although I hate watching Goliath straight up merk David in the face, you gotta respect 'em. Give credit when credit is due.

Come thursday, us basketball fans are in for a real treat.

Heat in 7....you heard it here first.
